WHY DON’T YOU LIST PRICING ONLINE?
Simple: Every project is unique. I would rather talk it over with you and figure out the perfect solution to your specific project than hand you a price online that doesn’t really fit what you are looking for.
DO YOU CHARGE HOURLY OR A FLAT RATE ON A PROJECT?
My experience is that most people would rather not be surprised if a project gets way more expensive than was originally bid. So I will attempt to agree upon a flat rate for the whole project, with a caveat that, if the project changes scope dramatically, a new bid will be submitted and agreed upon before continuing.
WHY DO YOU DO SO MANY DIFFERENT THINGS — DESIGN, CORPORATE VIDEO, MUSIC PRODUCTION?
Mostly it is borne out of my clients’ needs: they need marketing that stretches across disciplines, so I create that marketing. Philosophically, I believe that the multidisciplinary approach gives many other values to the client:
- there is cross-pollination: ideas and themes and “looks” can be consistent across various media, and can inform each other
- cost-savings: a logo doesn’t need to travel from one shop to another, when different media projects are all under the same roof
- various artistic disciplines sharpen the other artistic disciplines, because I’m a mild synesthete: sound sometimes has color, shape sometimes produces music. I try to derive strength and insight from these connections, and hone my skills across disciplines to tap into the power of art and communication for marketing across all media.
